When the NCAA’s new Name, Image, and Likeness (NIL) policy went into effect on July 1, 2021, it completely revolutionized the collegiate sports landscape.

 

Players can now receive financial compensation for appearing in commercials, endorsing products on social media, and countless other avenues. Combined with new rules about the transfer portal, the way programs approach recruiting players has also changed.
